Monuments in Nice French Riviera

The old town in Nice has many ‘ogival arches’ above some of the shops dating back to medieval times.  Many have been restored especially in Rue due Pont Vieux and Rue de la Prefecture.

Le Palais de Justice,

Place de Palais – neo classical architecture

Le Palais de la Prefecture,

Rue de la Prefecture – built at the beginning of the 17th century for the Governors and Princes of Savoy when they came to reside in Nice

L’Opera,

Rue Saint-Francois de Paule

Le Cours Saleya,

Often referred to as the flower market. A colourful market with fruit, vegetables and flowers. Also make sure you visit in the evening and eat at one of the many restaurants there.

See our main page on Nice for full resort information.
